Simon Hamon

Simon Hamon was born in Guernsey and has always been interested in local history. He has served on the committee of the Channel Islands Occupation Society, the Guernsey Military Vehicle Group and the Allied Aircrew Memorial. Simon is a published author and occupation historian, having written over one hundred and fifty articles in local and international publications on a variety of German Occupation subjects. He is the author of four other books: Voices from the Past: Channel Islands Invaded (Frontline Books, 2015), Images of Occupation, Volume 1 (La Capelle Publishing, 2018), Storming Hitler’s British Fortress (Frontline Books, 2023) and Occupied Guernsey Past & Present (Blue Ormer 2023). He has led walks and given a number of lectures on Occupation-related subjects both in the Channel Islands and England.
