Sarah Corbett
Sarah P Corbett is an award-winning activist, author, and the Founding Director of the global Craftivist Collective. She’s an Ashoka Fellow, an Honorary Fellow at Goldsmiths University of London, a Member of the Art Workers’ Guild, a member of Hard Art Collective and a Service Designer trained at the Royal College of Art. She grew up in West Everton (the fourth most deprived ward in the UK) protesting from the age of 3 and has worked as Activism Manager at Oxfam GB. Her Gentle Protest approach to activism has helped to change hearts, minds, policies and laws around the world. She prioritises engaging non-activists and people nervous of activism.
Her TEDx Talk ‘Activism needs Introverts’ was a TED Talk of the Day with over a million views. Corbett has worked with diverse organisations including Save the Children, The Climate Coalition, Helsinki Design Week, Design Museum Danmark, Tate and V&A, BBC, SkyArts and Secret Cinema amongst others. Her Craftivist Collective Handbook was awarded best multimedia book of 2025 by the Creative Book Awards. She is currently writing the Gentle Protest book, and working with NGOs and the arts sector to help engage non-activists and limit polarisation in their campaigns.
