Professor Paul Dolan is a behavioural scientist at the London School of Economics and bestselling author of Happiness by Design. His latest book, Beliefism, explores a powerful but often overlooked force: our tendency to discriminate against those with different beliefs. Dolan is also the creator of three podcast series. In Get Happier, he distills the science of happiness into ten episodes of ten minutes each. Duck/Rabbit explored the issues that divide us, and his current podcast, Breaking Beliefism, examines ways to listen more openly and empathetically to people with different perspectives.

Consistent with his goal of better valuing the main elements of what it means to live well, Paul is currently engaged in a research agenda that seeks to measure the impact of events and experiences, particularly in the anticipation of these events. This includes The Happiness Experiment with the world-famous DJ Fatboy Slim. In all of this work, he is keenly focussed on identifying the conditions for "oneness" - those moments when we are synchronised with, and feel connected to, those around us.
