Mavis Pope

Mavis had just celebrated her first birthday when her family arrived in Alderney in October 1939. After the war, Mavis and family returned to Suffolk. She trained as a Registered Nurse and Midwife. Following periods living in Saudi Arabia for 8 years and in France for 16 years, where she taught herself to paint, Mavis returned to Suffolk in 2006.
