Duncan Barrett and Nuala Calvi

Duncan Barrett and Nuala Calvi are the authors of a trio of Sunday Times bestsellers: The Sugar Girls, GI Brides (also a New York Times bestseller) and The Girls Who Went to War.  They spent three months living in Guernsey in the summer of 2016, when Duncan was researching his book Hitler’s British Isles, about the German Occupation of the Channel Islands.  Their most recent titles include The Sugar Girls of Love Lane (2024) and Blitz Kids (2025).
