She grew up in Scotland and spent many holidays in remote island places watching the seabirds and combing the beaches. “Call the Puffins!” is her first series for younger readers. Set on the island of Egg, the stories introduce a team of young puffin cadets in training to join a search and rescue team. The second book is “Tiny’s Brave Rescue”. The 3rd book in the series, “Muffin and the Shipwreck”, will be published in March 2024 with more to follow.

Cath is known for writing stories with a big heart. Her stories for 9-12 year-olds resonate with the voices of today’s children as they explore tough choices in their friendships and families and build vital resilience. Her latest novel, “My Life on Fire” was selected as Book of the Month by Bookshop.org
