Steven Butler

Steven Butler grew up in Kent, but now lives in London. He is the author of the bestselling The Diary Of Dennis The Menace and The Wrong Pong fiction series. As well as writing the hit 2015 World Book Day title, World Menace Day, Steven also hosted dozens of top-name Authors across the ten key nationwide events, for World Book Day’s The Biggest Book Show on Earth (2015 & 2016) for over 30,000 children.

Steven is also a successful performer and voice artist. His recent credits include The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium, Trevor Nunn’s production of The Tempest opposite Ralph Fiennes at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, Lost Boy The Musical, his one-man A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Shakespeare’s Globe, various voice performances for the up-coming Warhammer video game, and Beauty And The Beast (released Christmas 2016) for Disney Motion Pictures. His primary school headmaster was the fantastically funny author, Jeremy Strong. Steven's first novel, The Wrong Pong, was shortlisted for the prestigious Roald Dahl Funny Prize in 2009.
