Join the Festival Team
We're delighted to announce that we are looking for a number of people to join the Festival team as we start to make plans for 2027.
Following another successful year, we’re recruiting for three important roles that will help shape and deliver one of Guernsey’s biggest cultural events.
Whether you’re an experienced arts professional, an organised administrator, or someone who enjoys bringing people together, we’d love to hear from you.
Festival Administrator
Our Festival Administrator is at the heart of the Festival’s planning and organisation.
From coordinating speaker travel and accommodation to supporting the production of the printed programme and liaising with suppliers, volunteers and venues, this varied paid role is perfect for someone who is highly organised, enjoys problem solving and loves working as part of a collaborative team.
The role is offered on a flexible, self-employed basis, making it ideal for someone looking for rewarding, meaningful work that can fit around other professional or personal commitments.
Deputy Festival Director
This new senior role will work closely with Festival Director to help lead the planning and delivery of the Festival.
The Deputy Festival Director will play a key role across programming, operations, volunteer management and sponsorship, while helping to develop the Festival for the future.
This paid position has been designed to evolve over time, offering an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in arts, events or publishing who is passionate about literature and culture. Offered on a flexible, self-employed basis, it is ideal for someone looking for rewarding, meaningful work that can fit around other professional or personal commitments.
Volunteers Coordinator
Our volunteers are essential to the success of the Festival, and we’re looking for a Volunteers Coordinator to help recruit, organise and support this fantastic team.
This voluntary role involves coordinating volunteer schedules, managing communications, arranging briefings and helping ensure everything runs smoothly before and during the Festival.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to make a real contribution to the island’s cultural community.
Each of these roles offers the opportunity to be part of one of Guernsey’s most loved annual events, helping to bring internationally renowned authors, speakers and thinkers to the island while celebrating local writing and creativity.
Applications for these roles close on Sunday 12 July. To apply please email a CV and covering note to:
Claire Allen, Festival Director
We look forward to hearing from you.
