Write on!

On 11th October we had a very special interim event, An Evening with Louis de Bernières. We were thrilled that Louis was able to present prizes to the worthy winners of The Write Stuff competition, which challenged primary, junior and secondary school students to write a 300-word story that had to end with the dialogue ‘Yes, she’s hiding in the basement, but be careful: she’s not alone.’ Louis, local author Tony Booth and librarian Jane Falla judged the competition.

And here they are, our winners. From left to right: Liam Hussey (Le Murier), Christopher Brooks (Elizabeth College), Scott Cleveland (Grammar School), Tia Timms (La Mare de Carteret Primary), William Roberts (Les Beaucamps), Kariss Craig (Blanchelande College), Dominic Taylor (Notre Dame), Jessica Roberts (Notre Dame), and Alex Moorshead (Elizabeth College).

Well done to all of you!
