Fergus Dunlop

In 1988, as the Cold War was ending, Fergus Dunlop attempted a road trip from France to western Turkey in a vintage Bentley, the heroine of part one of his Borderline Pass travelogue trilogy, The Lady With No Name. The car’s skittishness is a source of comedy and woe, easing Fergus’s frustration with his non-committal girlfriend back home. Fergus has worked in politics, publishing, retail and finance, his investment career taking him to Germany for nine years before he moved to Guernsey with his family in 2006. Fergus will discuss his circumnavigation of the Mediterranean and the subsequent multi-decade journey to publication.

Chaired by Paul Chambers of the Guernsey Literary Festival.
