John Kirk

John Kirk is a professional storyteller.  Some of his stories are serious and some are very silly.  John works regularly in primary schools, public libraries and at literature events across Britain.  Having brought “The Twits” to Guernsey in 2017, John is thrilled to be returning to the festival with Roald Dahl’s “The Enormous Crocodile” this year.

The Guernsey Literary Festival weekend is wonderful. It's maybe a smaller festival but it has a big heart and my family and I have been made to feel very welcome by the organisers, audiences and volunteers on two occasions now.  I have been lucky enough to work at the Festival Hub and the Princess Elizabeth Hospital and will take away many special memories from the island of Guernsey and of its people.
