The Guernsey Literary Festival is looking for volunteers to join its team
The Guernsey Literary Festival, now one of the island’s biggest annual arts and culture events, which attracts world-renowned writers of fiction, non-fiction, memoir, biography, history, science, journalism and sport, is looking for more volunteers to join its team for the seventh festival, to be held from 1-6 May this year.
The Festival also has a full education and community programme to add to its entertaining literary events. This year, speakers already signed up include Adam Kay, Matt Haig, Lionel Shriver, Lemn Sissay and Libby Purves. There will be also be interactive reading and writing workshops.
The Festival is extremely grateful to last year’s volunteers, who were invaluable driving speakers to venues, helping manage events or more generally assisting, and they will be approached to see if they can help again this year. But the Festival is also keen to attract new volunteers – without volunteers there would be no Festival.
Anyone interested in helping in this important event should contact either Mandi Rutter or Gillie Revill by email on: [email protected], or by phone: 07781 162729 or 07781- 143545.
