Jacquie Bloese will be talking about her debut novel The French House, set on Guernsey during the German Occupation, and inspired by both family history and her time working at Victor Hugo’s residence-in-exile, Hauteville House. Jacquie will speak about blending fact and fiction to create stories in the past, along with tips for new writers on how to get published.

The French House was a finalist in the 2019 Mslexia First Novel Award.
